Borrelly 360 multi-turn internal and external spiral retaining rings are made by coiling the ring from laminated flat wire with round edges.

Borrelly Spring Washers makes spiral retaining rings from 5 mm to 1000 mm diameter; 1 turn to 7 turns; Austenitic (AISI 301 – AISI 302 – AISI 316), Semi-austenitic (17-7 PH), Inconel, Hastelloy, CuBe2, Duplex, Super Duplex.

Technical description

Borrelly 360° spiral retaining rings are a type of retaining rings coiled from flat wire.

Our multi-turn internal and external spiral retaining rings are meant to be axially installed onto a shaft or within a housing where they will act as an artificial shoulder. Designed to withstand medium to heavy loads, they are perfectly suited for any application where a 360° contact with a groove and shoulder of the assembling part is required. There are commonly used to secure components in place and support high pressures and rotational speeds.

Our spiral retaining rings for bores and shafts are available in variety of materials and finishes to meet any application requirements.

They are manufactured with a notch; this make is extremely easy to remove from a groove.
