PROPERTIES THAT MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE

To begin, Carbon is lighter; weight savings can be made. In fact, carbon washers are 60% to 70% lighter than their equivalents in metal washers. That makes these washers ideal for sectors such as aerospace, military and motor sports. These tapered washers develop the most force for a given volume, and they can be stacked. These new Belleville washers also offer high chemical resistance to acids, alcohols, oils and salt solutions, unlike steel (or even stainless steel) washers. This feature makes them particularly suitable for use in the medical and food industries.

Lastly, their material is non-magnetic. This feature marks them out as a potential alternative to non-magnetic metallic solutions, which are very expensive and used in the design of small electric motors.
