Technical description

Borrelly 360° external spiral retaining rings are manufactured by coiling laminated flat wire with round edges. With no ear and gap, their design is very advantageous compared to stamped retaining rings, especially DIN 471 circlips. Thanks to their notch, they are extremely easy to remove from the groove.

Meant to be axially installed onto shafts, our muti-turn external spiral retaining rings can support medium to heavy loads while providing a 360° retaining surface.

All shaft retaining rings from our precision range are compliant with the MA4016 standards of the aeronautics industries and manufactured under our EN 9100 quality management system.

External retaining rings from the Borrelly 360° range can be installed manually, semi-automatically or automatically.

These retaining rings stand out for their ease of installation and removal. Indeed, a simple assembly cone can be used to install them and a standard screwdriver to remove them.
